Having your windows tinted will be your best option to cut back on home cooling costs. Most colored tints will only block light but thermal window films will block light and the radiant heat coming from the suns rays. Some thermal window films are almost crystal clear and don't impact the amout of light coming into the home. Whether you plan to use the tint for comercial use or residential use you and your property will benefit for years to come.

Sun Screens Cut Home Cooling Costs

Although not as affective as thermal window films at a 72%+ reflection rate in some cases, sun screen are an excelent, non-permanent option. Depending on the type of windows you or your business have one option may be better then the other. Make sure you do your proper research to ensure that you are purchaseong the right product at the the right price so that you are fully optimizing your money.

Window Tint Can Block UVA & UVB Rays Or Just The Light

The limitation again with sun screens is that they can only block the light and limit the heat. Window films on the other hand can be custom for each window, limiting heat on southern exposures and visibility in bathrooms. You can choose from many patterns and stained glass designs to upgrade your most viewed windows.

Thermal window films use common elements such as titanium to create a reflective or non-transluscent film. Some thermal window films are capable of blocking 99% of UV rays and others come in an array of colors from bronze to cobalt.

For small windows, if you would like to tint them your self, check the local home department store for a wide selection. A one window job can be done in a day but be sure to read all instructions on the product to make sure it is done right the first time.
